Viva Black feat. Gretli & Heidi – “ Mal Sirine”
The warm, soft, singing sound of the wood, along with the slightly chilly, sparkling, sparkling sound of the glass. It must be wonderful! Even the first time I heard the amazing sisters Gretli and Heidi playing on their glasses, the idea of trying to establish a collaboration between my trio Viva Black and Gretli & Heidi was awakened. In the fall of 2015, the collaboration speeded up when Catharina Backman, Carin Blom, Peter Danemo and I wrote music for the group that was erected in Reaktorhallen R1 in Stockholm. I’m very glad that the music is now released on the album “Mal Sirine”. And, of course, it sounds wonderful, sounds like never heard are promised when glasscakes, bottles, bowls, plates are coinciding with violin, bass and drums. The sisters have been on a one-week jodling course in the Swiss Alps, so some jodling is also promised.-Filip Augustson, bassist in Viva Black
